The Advanced Search option allows you to target your search using a number of different search fields. To locate and use the Advanced Search function:
If you know the exact title of an item you can just enter it in the catalogue search box on the Library home page and place quotation marks "..." around the title. The catalogue will then search for that exact phrase.
When you find an item that your would like to add to your EndNote library, you just need to click the EndNote icon to the right of the title. You can also print, email and save records to your Favourites by selecting other icons.
Records that were stored in e-shelf are now located in My Favourites. Make sure you are logged into the catalogue, then click on the My Favourites link. You'll be able to label and sort records in a similar way to how you sorted item in your e-shelf. See the My Favourites tab in this guide for more information.
Not all items in the catalogue will provide this information. Open the full record of an item in the catalogue by clicking on the title. On the right hand side of the screen you'll see a list "Further Reading". These items have similar content to the title you have opened.
You can retain your selected filters for more searches. Mouse over an active filter until you see "Make this filter persistent throughout the session", then click. A padlock icon will appear. To remove the filter, click on the padlock. This function can be applied to multiple filters but will only last for the current session.
