Using the Library Catalogue: My favourites

Using My Favourites

From your search results you can save your search by clicking on Save search at the top of the page.

Go to My Favourites page and to Saved searches to access your searches and select one to recreate the search

Your search history for your current session is listed under Search history. To save permanently click on the pin icon. 

To save individual records from your search results click on the favourites pin 

Under Saved Records in the My Favourites page you can group and label your saved records and apply other actions.

  • For individual records or you can select several records and then click on Add Labels and assign a group name.
  • To remove click on the pencil icon and delete.
  • Click on the envelope icon for more actions such as emailing records or sending them send to print or EndNote.

By setting an alert you will be automatically notified when new records that fit your search parameters are added to the catalogue.

Go to Saved Searches in the My Favourites page and click on the bell icon. Your notification will go to the email address that appears at the top of the page.  There is also an option here to change your email address.

Why use My Favourites?

My Favourites allows you to:

  • save your searches
  • save the records of items you find in the catalogue
  • set up alerts to notify you of new items that are added to the catalogue

Logging in allows you to permanently store records and searches. If not logged in, records will be saved for your current session only.

How to access My Favourites

To access My Favourites, log in (top right hand corner of the catalogue) and then click on the favourites icon.

You will need to be logged in to see saved searches and results.

Alerts

By setting an alert you will be automatically notified when new records that fit your search parameters are added to the catalogue.

Go to the Saved Searches screen and click on the bell icon. Your notification will go to the email address that appears at the top of the page.  There is also an option here to change your email address.
