To start searching enter keywords into the search box. By default you will search Everything (all Curtin Collections) but you can narrow to the options suggested (eg narrow down to a particular journal, a particular database etc).
Your results will initially display as brief records; you can save your search, filter your results, email and add records to favourites.
Click on the title to see the full record and others options. Information about the availability of an item will be displayed:
You can further refine your results by using the Filter my results options. You can filter by resource type to show only books or articles, by creation date or author, to show only peer reviewed articles and much more.
The filters available will vary depending on what search option you have selected; for example if using Find a Database you can select the filter Research Area.
Any selected filters will appear as active filters and can be deselected.
If you have problems accessing an electronic resource click on Report a problem with this resource (under Availability). You will need to be logged in to the catalogue to see this option
If you want to expand your results for a more comprehensive search, check the option Include records not available online, located under Filter my results on the search results screen.
This is only available if you have chosen to search Everything. When selected this will display items external to Curtin which may not be available in full text. If your item is unavailable it will display as:
An option will be presented to use the Document Delivery Service by completing the pre-populated form. This service is available for staff and postgraduate students only.
