Using the Library Catalogue: Searching for a known item

Having technical problems? Try this...

Recommend an item

Curtin staff and students can recommend new items for the Library collection via our online form:

Searching for a known item

When you know the title of a book, journal, article or other item:

  • Select More search options from the catalogue box on the Library homepage
  • Type the title into the search box and select using my exact phrase and in the titleTitle search
  • If you do not know the exact title, try typing in some keywords from the title and the author's name. Select using my query words, anywhere in the record from the drop-down menus.
  • If a journal article is not available, try searching by title of the journal to see if the library holds that journal.
