ResearcherID is a web site where researchers can register for a unique researcher ID number. At this site users can update their profile information, build their publications list using Web Science search services or upload a file, and select to make theirn profile public or private.  Users can search the ResearcherID Registry to view profiles and find potential collaborators.

What is a ResearcherID number?

It is a unique identifier that consists of alphanumeric characters. Each number contains the year you registered.

How do I register?

You can register for a ResearcherID account from the Web of Science home page. Go to Tools>ResearcherID and follow the prompts.

Integration with Web of Science

ResearcherID  numbers are searchable in Web of Science and links to ResearcherID publications lists are available in the full record for particpating authors with public profiles. Publications from your ResearcherID "My Publication" list that overlap with Web of Science are associated and updated on a weekly basis.  You can send publications directly to your Researcher ID "My Publications" list from any search results, full record or Marked List page in Web of Science.
